Quick thought about your 2025 marketing plans
It's January 6th and most of us here in New Zealand are getting back into work. (I'm actually one of the lucky few still on holiday until next week 😎).
I've seen many of you on LinkedIn are already diving into your 2025 planning.
And I wanted to give you some food for thought when it comes to your marketing planning.
I've observed that there's one big factor that derails most marketing efforts.
It's lack of a clear strategy.
Many people think they have a strategy, but what they really have is a list of tactics.
They're trying to stay trendy with what's working in the algorithms. Or they've jumped on the latest growth hack from some random online guru.
And to a degree, this is important. But to me, your strategy needs to clarify what you're looking to achieve this year.
Or like marketing legend Seth Godin says:
"What is the change you're wanting to make?"
For me in my business this year, I'm wanting to actually work with less clients but spend more time with them in their business.
More time learning the ins and outs of their business. More time caring. And I know that we'll drive more results in the process.
This needs to be my North Star. And all the tactics should serve this mission.
What about you? What change are you wanting to make through your business?
Hit reply and let me know - I read every response, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Here's to making waves in 2025!
Cheers,
Joel
